YouTube Premium subscribers can claim three months of Microsoft’s PC Game Pass for free At “The Game Awards 2021” yesterday, Microsoft announced that it’s rebranding its “Xbox Game Pass for PC” to “PC Game Pass.” The new name drops the  Xbox  bit for a less confusing branding. Shortly after Microsoft’s announcement, Google has now begun notifying YouTube Premium subscribers about an offer that lets them try out PC Game Pass for free. According to  9to5Google , Google is offering its YouTube Premium subscribers three months of Microsoft’s PC Game Pass for free. The company is sending out the offer to active subscribers via email. “We’re showing some gaming love to our Premium members so you can level up with more than 100 high-quality PC games like the brand-new Halo Infinite — out now,”  the email reads. Microsoft is rolling out a fix for Teams so Android phones can make 911 calls again We recently learned about a bug in Microsoft Teams that was  preventing users from making emergency calls  on Android. The bug essentially registered too many PhoneAccounts instances which, in turn, triggered an Android bug that blocked emergency calls. Thankfully, Microsoft has addressed the bug in the latest Teams update, allowing users to seamlessly make 911 calls again. The latest Microsoft Teams update (v1416/1.0.0.2021194504) is already available through the Google Play Store. In a recent tweet, Mishaal Rahman notes that the updated version of Microsoft Teams calls the clearPhoneAccounts method of TelecomManager on the first launch, clearing all PhoneAccounts instances that were created previously.   Padaki Ubuntu Linux 21.10 arrives, bringing developer-focused features and GNOME 40 AD Ubuntu is one of the most popular desktop Linux distributions, and it serves as the base for countless other desktop operating systems, like Linux Mint and Elementary OS. There are two major releases of Ubuntu each year, and right on schedule, Ubuntu 21.10 “Impish Indri” has just been released.  The last major Ubuntu release was 21.04, dubbed “Hirsute Hippo” . Ubuntu 21.10 is not a Long-Term Support (LTS) release, so it will only be updated for the next nine months. If you don’t want to upgrade regularly or prefer stability over new features,  Ubuntu 20.04  is the current LTS release and will receive updates until April 2025.
